I hope you’re all fine and dandy.
Hester kindly sent me Henrietta and Andrew’s Godalming wedding photos quite a while ago but in the midst of wedding season and moving house, it has taken me a long time to find the time to sit down and write about Henrietta’s wedding morning.
On Henrietta’s wedding morning I was working with my fellow make-up artist pal Mel, as we are both a part of the Gemma Sutton Pro team. Mel was in charge of Henrietta’s hair and make-up and I was in charge of the bridesmaids make-up and the mother of the bride’s hair and make-up.
Henrietta and Andrew had three events over three days to celebrate their wedding – cocktails at the Watts Gallery in Godalming on the Friday night, followed by the wedding on the Saturday at Henrietta’s family home in Godalming, and an informal barbecue in Godalming on Sunday to finish a glorious weekend of celebrations.
Henrietta’s bridesmaids were all dressed in gorgeous navy dresses with white bouquets. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: it’s such a classy colour theme for bridesmaids. I really liked how the lace in Henrietta’s dress was mirrored in the bridesmaid dresses. So simple but very effective.
Each bridesmaid asked for an extremely natural make-up, to subtly enhance their features, with focus on their eye make-up. I used a neutral palette to create sheer washes of colour and used cleverly placed individual lashes to give natural volume to the lash line.
It was such a pleasure working with Hester again (as always); I’m sure you’ll agree that these photos of the bridal party are lovely.
