It’s been a while since I last blogged (I’ve been super busy in the best possible way!); but these beautiful photos from Emily and Dan’s winter wedding landed in my inbox this week and I wanted to share them with you!
Emily and Dan got married in London last November. She got in touch after I had done her make-up when she was a bridesmaid for her sister Leonie’s wedding.
Em’s look
When I met Em for her trial, she immediately explained that she was wearing a navy dress with red flowers with some beautiful sapphire blue jewellery. This beautiful and unusual dress choice definitely influenced Em’s hair and make-up look. As Emily and Dan got married later in the afternoon in November, it was already dark when they said ‘I do’. Therefore it was important to have a bit more drama for Emily’s make-up. We went for glowing, flawless skin, with a warm brown smokey eye and lashes, and a soft pink, peach lip to finish the look.
Em’s hair
Em had some ideas about how she would like her hair but was flexible so I could tailor the look to suit her dress and style. We decided on a low, unstructured, curled chignon with a braid on one side, coming into the chignon. Em has a lot of hair, it’s thick and long which was a dream to style; once I had recovered from the shock of just how much she has!
I also styled Emily’s bridesmaids’ and flower girl’s hair – they were such a lovely group: super relaxed, funny and friendly.
