Esme and Christian get married at Wotton House

Hi chums,

Esme’s beautiful wedding photos have just landed in my inbox and I am SO excited to share them with you. Esme and Christian got married on the 19th May (the same day as Harry and Meghan) at Wotton House in Dorking. It was such a fun wedding morning – I loved creating Esme’s bridal look.

Esme’s bridal make up

It was a very warm and sunny day, so ensuring Esme’s make up lasted in the heat was one of my main priorities! I prepped Esme’s skin with Bioderma Micellar water, an Embroylisse moisturiser and Illamasqua’s hydra veil primer. I used my trusty Bobbi Brown BBU palette to create a flawless base, finished with Charlotte Tillbury’s airbrush powder to keep Emse’s skin matte in the glorious sunshine. I used MAC’s Hush and MAC’s Petal Power blush to create a natural blush and highlight as well as Bobbi Brown’s golden bronzer.

For Esme’s eyes, we went for a warm brown smokey eye, using shades such as Naked Lunch, Brûlée, Mulch and Antiqued (all by MAC). We finished the eyes with a liquid liner, tight liner and plenty of mascara. I nestled a few individual false lashes into her lash line, to give Esme a fluttery, fluffy look to her lashes.

Finially I finished Esme’s lip with a natural nude pink lip – I used MAC Faux, but equally MAC Peach Blossom or MAC Brave would have also looked fab on Esme’s skin tone.

“Dear Arabella,
I cannot thank you enough for creating the PERFECT bridal look for me on my Wedding Day! As well as being a super talented make up artist, you are such a lovely, fun, relaxed person and were a great presence to be around on the morning of the big day! I LOVE your impeccable organisation skills and attention to detail – this was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders on the day, and so I was able to just sit back, relax and take everything in!
My Mum and Bridesmaids also loved you and their make up was simply stunning 🙂 Thank you for all those little make up hints and tips you gave me, and for somehow knowing exactly what I wanted even when I didn’t really know how to describe it! I will be forever trying to re-create the eye make up you did for me that day… perhaps I will have to come and book another private lesson! I cannot recommend you highly enough – any bride would be incredibly lucky to have you as their make up artist! xxx”
