It was such a fun morning, full of laughter, fizz and total joy. Sophie was so relaxed and an absolute pleasure to work with. As the restrictions on weddings kept on coming, the goalposts kept on moving. And still she remained chilled! But ultimately love wins and this wedding (of just 15 people) was so so beautiful. Just a little snapshot of a hair and make up trial Just a little snapshot of a hair and make up trial that I did just before lockdown. Rosie was the last person I saw before we went into self isolation. I love all the beautiful colours in Rosie’s hair and loved creating this beaut style for her. Today it was announced that as a make up artist, I’m not going back to work just yet. I was hopeful to return to work from the 4th July. Sadly it is not to be. I’ve emailed all my brides to reschedule trials and to just touch base and keep in touch. I haven’t really posted much to social media, I’m not entirely sure what to say. I feel like my full time job is now looking after my baby (who turned one last week!!) and like I’m on extended maternity leave. But I’m still here, so please do keep in touch and say hi! What attracted me to Arabella's work was how naturally gorgeous she makes her clients look - they each look they beautiful individuals, and not a 'copy and paste' of any popular Instagram look. She left me this very lovely review, which I wanted to share with you all - ⁠ ⁠ “I found Arabella from a general Google search, I've always been lucky enough to have my make-up done by friends for big events so this was the first time (for my wedding) that I had had to find someone external! All of her reviews were positive, she seemed trustworthy and took a professional approach to the contract and payment which filled me with assurance.⁠ ⁠ I first met Arabella for my hair and make-up trial about 6 weeks before my wedding. She was prompt and we talked through the importance of me being honest with how she was doing my hair and make-up. We had a lovely time that afternoon, but before she left, Arabella said - 'give your hair and make-up a big test tonight. See how it lasts because the wedding day was going to be at least 11 hours long'. Using that approach we were able to make some changes so that the hair would last longer on the wedding day - ideas like real hair extensions, LVL for my eyelashes etc. My belief that I had picked the right woman was cemented and I could not have been happier to have her and Holly (her assistant) with me on the 25th of November.⁠ ⁠ On the big day she was right on time, she looked after my mum's make-up first and with me she was calm, funny, relaxing, confident and most of all - when we had just a little drama around the bouquet - she genuinely helped to sort out the problem (waaaaay out of her jurisdiction), but it really felt as if she cared that I was at my best ready to get married.
