Hope you’re well and having a good weekend. I have just got the most BEAUTIFUL photos back from Jay Rowden, from a photoshoot we worked on together a couple of weeks ago. Rachelle and Anthony are getting married in April in Hong Kong, but whilst they were in the UK celebrating Chinese New Year, they wanted to have an engagement shoot here too. And I’m glad they did!! Rachelle found me through Gemma Sutton, as I’m a member of her pro team.
Rachelle and Anthony had a full day of photos planned, in various beautiful locations, including Windsor Castle and Virginia Water Lake, as well as at Anthony’s family home. For the shoot, Rachelle had bought a stunningly gorgeous dress of sumptuous silk and lace, and had ordered the prettiest flower crown and bouquet. Seriously, the peonies were to die for!
When I met Rachelle, we talked about what she would like for her hair and makeup. She wanted her look to be classic, timeless but also modern. We took our influence from her dress and the flower crown, and went for soft boho waves in her beautifully thick hair and a clean natural makeup with focus on her eyes. I used warm browns on her eyes to accentuate and elongate her shape, with individual lashes to finish to the look. I used Laura Mercier’s Rosewater lipstick on Rachelle, which looked gorgeous – like her own lips but better.
Rachelle and Anthony may just be the nicest couple ever and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them and Jay. Despite having a slightly bumpy start to the morning – I drove over a pothole at 6am on my way over to Virginia Water and subsequently had to change my tyre in the February dark, damp and drizzle – it was the most enjoyable day. I absolutely love the photos that Jay captured and I’m delighted to share them with you.

I hope you love these shots as much as I do.
Until next time, cheerio chums! x
